Rating & Reviews for Viceroy Luxury Townhomes - Newer Construction
Overall rating
Too loud
The location is close to 101 but excessively loud. The traffic from cave creek is ridiculously loud. There are fire truck sirens constantly throughout the day and night. I don't understand why management didn't build a wall. The neighbors are loud. Kids tend to play and scream in the alley where the garages are located. Dogs bark all times of day and night. People tend to leave the gate open. Fire trucks have been here numerous times. I've never lived around so many accident prone people. The apartment itself is nice minus the bad craftsmanship. Floor boards are loose upstairs and downstairs which has created creaking and bumps underneath the carpet. The carpet wasn't stretched properly so the carpet has ripples. Overall if you like quiet areas, this isn't the place. If you have migraines, then I don't recommend living here. I actually have to go in the closet and close the door when I have a migraine because the noise is top debilitating.
Great Place to live, great people
Lived here for 2 years and have had no issues, all maintenance issues are resolved very quickly and the staff are great to work with.
Overpriced...amenities are few
I love the townhome feel. I don't like the traffic sounds from Cave Creek Road. I've learned to tune the sounds out, however, it seems as though they would have built a wall or something to help with the noise. I've been woke up to trucks constantly backing up across the street. The kitchen cabinets were built for people that are 5'11 or taller. I actually had to buy special silverware containers since the drawers are not standard for the silverware drawer. There are a few fixes & improvements that could be made to make the place better. I'm not a fan of the $500 deposit. Even if you have immaculate credit, you will still be required to pay the $500 deposit. Also, management is similar to management at other complexes. If you have an issue, don't bother reaching out because they are nonchalant and a bit condescending about it instead of actually solving the issue if it involves other tenants. (I reached out regarding a simple concern that could have easily been followed up with an email or call to the tenant. The whole email trail seemed like a silly debate and 10 minutes I can't get back.) On the other hand, they are extremely nice when they want you to sign a lease...imagine that. Someone mentioned the buildings being the same. I think it comes down to being aware of your surroundings. One building has a different street address than the other and it's clear if you look at the street address signs.
It's okay
